1. Who we are

Parent Plays is operated by João Carlos Lourenço Corino Silvério, an individual sole trader based in Portugal ("we", "us", "Parent Plays"). For the personal data we collect about you through parentplays.store, we act as the data controller.

3. Who we share data with

  • Paddle — our Merchant of Record, which processes payments, manages subscriptions and refunds, calculates and remits taxes, and issues invoices. See Paddle's privacy notice.
  • Service providers (subprocessors) — hosting, database, email delivery, and analytics tools we use to run the site, under appropriate confidentiality and data protection terms.
  • Professional advisers — accountants and legal counsel where necessary.
  • Authorities — where required by law (for example, tax or fraud investigations).

We do not sell your personal data.

4. International transfers

Some of our service providers and Paddle may process data outside the EEA/UK. Where they do, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.

5. How long we keep data

We keep order and customer-support data for as long as needed to provide our service and to comply with our tax and accounting obligations (typically 7-10 years in Portugal). Site logs are kept for a shorter period (usually up to 12 months) and then deleted or anonymised. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

6. Your rights

If you are in the EEA, UK, or another jurisdiction with similar laws, you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • request deletion ("right to be forgotten");
  • restrict or object to certain processing;
  • request portability of your data;
  • withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
  • lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority (in Portugal, the CNPD).

To exercise these rights, email hello@parentplays.store. We aim to respond within one month.

7. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), encrypted storage, and strict access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information safe.

8. Cookies

We use a small number of essential cookies and similar technologies to make the site work (for example, to keep your session) and to understand basic usage. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. You can manage cookies through your browser settings.

We may update this notice from time to time. The "Last updated" date above will reflect any changes.
